The number of possible scenarios quickly becomes astronomical—far more than could ever be enumerated, let alone trained for.

This is why edge cases cannot be solved through brute force data collection or exhaustive scenario enumeration. The problem requires AI systems that can generalize from limited examples to novel situations—systems that can reason about the world rather than just pattern-match against training data. Such systems remain a research challenge, not a deployed reality.
